Grammar consists of standard rules and conventions writers adhere to in order to communicate their ideas clearly. This section will cover grammar basics students need, so they have the tools to write well. As a writing instructor to first- and second-year college students, I am familiar with the areas of grammar students find most challenging. Using plain English, these areas will be broken down, explained, and supported by examples that are easy to understand. I recommend having a comprehensive grammar book for deeper learning on the topics in this section.
